Sonia Jordan
Sonia heads IBB’s Corporate Restructuring and Insolvency team. She is a Restructuring and Insolvency Partner with a transactional and contentious practice who has led on some high-profile administrations during 25+ years as an insolvency specialist. She has a broad insolvency industry reach, uniquely spanning restructuring and advisory engagements, transactional insolvency projects and forensic asset recoveries.
Sonia regularly acts for private equity and debt investors seeking to acquire business, restructure existing businesses or sell businesses within or outside of a formal insolvency process.
She also advises Insolvency Practitioners in relation to business and asset sales, Company Voluntary Arrangements and on all contentious aspects of formal insolvencies, in particular asset tracing and recovery actions.
Sonia provides independent advice to directors of stressed or distressed companies on their duties, corporate sales, restructuring and informal credit arrangements and she continues to advise on all aspects of personal insolvency.
Sonia’s dedication to the restructuring and insolvency profession has propelled her to play an active part in organisations which help to steer the strategic path of the profession. She is a keen proponent of business turnaround and has been a supporter of the Turnaround Management Association (UK), where the focus is business revival and growth, since inception and is a member of the TMA board of directors. Her dedication to the insolvency profession has been recognised by her election to the National Council of R3, the UK restructuring and insolvency trade association, where she is an active member of the Executive Committee.
