IBB Advises Accelerate Group Limited in Connection With Buyout of Webtrends Optimize Business From Webtrends Inc

Adam Dowdney, Partner and head of IBB’s Corporate Commercial team, led the team advising Accelerate Group Limited (“Accelerate”) on its acquisition of the Webtrends Optimize business from Webtrends Inc. Webtrends Optimize is a dynamic website experience optimisation platform which allows clients to better understand user behaviour. Matt Smith had been involved in running the Optimize business for the last couple of years (while working for Webtrends Inc), before making the offer to take it forward under his own banner and setting up Accelerate with Matt Goodchild, Tom Wilson and Ben Charlesworth.

The buyer was advised by Adam Dowdney, Michelle Waligora (Solicitor), Jonathan Allen (Trainee Solicitor) and Rustam Roy (Consultant) of the Corporate Commercial team and Richard Devall (Partner) of the Employment team. Accelerate was also advised by Menzies LLP.
