Buryfields festival rocks The Bury for the third year
Chesham-based leading law firm IBB Solicitors, is to host Buryfields Festival for the third year in a row. The festival is a mixture of music and comedy, set in the stunning grounds of The Bury, the firm’s Grade II listed offices, in Old Chesham. The event will take place from Friday 19 – Saturday 20 June.
On Friday, the main stage will feature performances from dance act Peatbog Faeries, young street performers the CC Smugglers, and the Guilty Pleasures Stage will be headlined by Terry Hall, former lead singer of The Specials, whose song “Ghost Town” spent three weeks at number one in 1981. It will also host Welsh comedic rap band Goldie Lookin’ Chain, famous for their often controversial and humorous songs such as the 2004 hit “Guns don’t kill people rappers do”.
Saturday is bursting full of entertainment from The Blockheads, who headline the Big Top Stage, alongside singer and guitar player, Beans on Toast. Father Ted star, Ardal O’Hanlon, who played Father Dougal in the long running comedy series on Channel 4, will also feature on the Comedy Woodland Stage.
Part of the Buryfields’ ticket sales go to worthy local causes, including the IBB Charitable Trust, which supports charities local to the firm’s offices. In addition, the Chesham Rugby Union Football Club will receive a donation to assist in the building of a clubhouse to help and encourage children in the area to play the sport.
Gillian Outram, Partner and Head of IBB Solicitors Private Client Group says of the festival:
“Buryfields has been a huge success previously and we are thrilled to host it again. The calibre of the performers this year is exceptional and I am sure we will raise a significant donation for all our affiliated charities whilst having a great weekend.”
