International Women’s Day: IBB reflects on gender equality in the legal profession.

March 08 marks International Women’s Day across the World. Its purpose is to celebrate the achievements of women and to promote an environment without bias where everybody, regardless of gender, has the chance to thrive.

The legal profession fairs well against some other professions in terms of gender diversity, with 52% of all UK lawyers being women. This is not so positive at the top level of seniority however, this is improving.

To mark International Women’s Day, we asked our Instagram followers to ask us questions about being a women in the legal profession. We put those questions to a panel of female employees from across the firm. Watch this selection of videos to find out what they had to say:
