Payroll Giving Reforms Proposed

The government published its proposals to improve the Payroll Giving scheme, following its recent consultation, albeit without any indication of a time-frame for the implementation of these changes.

Measures that will be brought in include:

• a reduction in the maximum time for disbursing donations from 60 days to 35 days;
• the development of a service level agreement for the Payroll Giving sector; and
• the creation of a new online ‘home’ for information about Payroll Giving on the government’s cross-departmental GOV.UK website
