Association of Charitable Foundations report “For Good and not for Keeps” published
The Association of Charitable Foundations has produced a report “For Good and not for Keeps“, analysing how long-term charity investors approach spending on their charitable aims.
The report’s key finding is that although, historically, maintaining a “spend rate” of 4.2 percent would enable trustees to maintain the real value of the average charity’s investment portfolio, charities will now need to reduce their spend rate to 3.2 percent over the next 30 years to achieve the same outcome.
