Self-employed
The current coronavirus outbreak and the severe restrictions imposed to try to contain it has brought about the end of ‘business as usual’ for many self-employed persons.
With the country in lockdown, self employed tradespeople who would ordinarily be working in people’s homes or business premises are now unable to go to work. It is estimated that 3.8 million self-employed or freelance workers have been impacted by the outbreak and although many will be assisted by the Self-Employed Income Support Scheme, this is not yet available. Those of you who earn significantly more than the threshold set will have serious concerns about your business and your family.
